MON Design (formerly Econosys Design) is a Kyoto-based design office specializing in branding. With graphic design as our foundation, we offer a variety of services including CI/VI planning, web design (design, production, planning, operational support, system development, etc.), signage planning, package design, photography, copywriting, translation, and more. Rather than focusing on short-term promotional results, we aim to build a solid foundation together over time, working as partners to create lasting value with a vision for 5, 10 years into the future.

Creative Director Mitsutaka Nakao

Born in 1979 in Kobe, and raised in Kyoto, Established Econosys Design during his time at Kyoto University of Art and Design.

As a creative director, he works extensively on branding. Viewing design as a tool for problem-solving, he pursues the essence of the client's problems and makes proposals tailored to the client's needs.

To make the most of his hobby of travel, he opened "MON," a travel-themed gallery and wine bar.
He aims to create a place where people can feel the upliftment they encounter during their travels.

Director Yuji Kinoshita

Born in 1984 in Hirakata City, Osaka Prefecture.
Studied architecture and applied for a part-time job at Econosys Design while a graduate student at Kyoto Prefectural University.
He learned the joy of design and joined the company directly.
During his childhood, he was crazy about making his own board games and playing in his imagination, but recently he has been enjoying nature by camping and climbing mountains. As a fun fact, he has a second-class architect license.

Director Yoshitaka Kurumi

Born in Fukui Prefecture in 1982. Raised in Nagoya and Kyoto, currently resides in Shiga Prefecture.
Encountering the Internet while attending culinary school, he entered the web design department of Kyoto Computer Gakuin.
After graduation, he worked for a furniture store and a food manufacturing company, managing their e-commerce sites and selling their products. After meeting Nakao, he joined Econosys Design. He is in charge of web production, focusing on system projects such as original CMS, WordPress, and EC-CUBE.
His hobbies are watching movies and visiting temples. He likes a quiet and dignified atmosphere.

Art Director / Cinematographer Takashi Kuroyanagi

Born in 1988 in Aichi Prefecture. Graduated from the Graduate School of Design Science at Kyoto Institute of Technology.
While studying graphic design, he worked as a sports photographer and began learning video production on his own. From 2015 to 2020, he participated as a designer and cinematographer at Econosys Design. He specializes in creating visual works that focus on the values inherent in organizations and individuals through thoughtful dialogue. He has a deep love for food and makes it a habit to visit local recommended restaurants during business trips and buy locally made seasonings and snacks. He rejoined Econosys Design in 2024.

MON

We have created a space called MON along Kuro-mon Street, located in the Kyoto Sanjo area.Here at MON, there is a gallery and a wine bar with various pieces you can find. We aim for MON to be a space to explore and experience values and interests. MON invites you to reach for the things you don’t know and to reimagine the things you do.
